The spelling imposter, with -er in the end, has always felt wrong to me somehow. So I was amused to see a piece in the Smashing Magazine today, with the variant impostor sitting right there in the title. I wonder if this is an Eastern European thing — the author is a Slav, judging by the name, as disproportionately many authors of the Smashing Magazine are.
