About that Googler who got fired over his memo, I am missing some parts of the story, e.g. what was his job, where did he post the memo, was he inviting other Googlers to take part in the discussion (seems so, judging by the look of the memo). As for the contents of the memo, I don’t know. Seems like a mixed bag. Some sentences are high-schoolish and superficial; some are insightful (for example, the idea that while female gender roles are being challenged by feminism, male gender roles remain pretty much as they used to be). As always, I can't see what the fuss is all about.
