I understand the frustration behind this argument, but I do not understand how he arrives at his conclusion. If Apple is stalling web browser evolution and prevents competition with other browsers on iOS (which it does, because it protects its cash cow the App Store), this should be Apple's loss. More web-friendly Android should outcompete iOS by allowing developers to create near-native powerful web applications, right? Right? If so, then how does the "handbrake effect on competition and progress" follow?
