It pains me to admit this (because I don’t like their syntax), but Svelte seriously looks like the next big thing that can disrupt the status quo in the frontend frameworks space:

There was a time when AngularJS was the king, and then React came along and showed how much faster their approach with one-way data binding and virtual DOM was. Since then the frameworks landscape changed, and React has now become the default, and perhaps the most harshly criticized one. Svelte, if it gets hyped up, can become what React used to be back then.

I am not sure I like that...
