Brexit: The Uncivil War with Benedict Cumberbatch, that came out this Monday on the British Channel 4, is actually pretty enjoyable. There was fear that this was going to be a propaganda movie, and yes, it does present many participants of the Leave campaign as buffoons, but the central characters are sufficiently well developed to be interesting, and the visuals are reminiscent of The Death of Stalin. I liked it.

A great episode of Joe Rogan Experience with Peter Boghossian and James Lindsay discussing hoax articles they submitted to academic journals in various social studies disciplines (cultural studies, gender studies, etc.), of which some got published. It’s beautiful and hilarious:

There’s a Wikipedia page discussing their experiment: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grievance_Studies_affair

Boghossian, it seems, is now having troubles at his Portland State University, where the ethics committee is accusing him of various misconducts related to this experiment.
