(no subject)

Tuned to the Oxford Union channel (YouTube recently suggested it to me when they had Jordan Peterson as their speaker). Saw they had a debate about Russia recently and decided to check it out. One of the debaters was Bill Browder, who in the first several minutes of his opening statement said about Putin:

"he sent bombers into Syria to bomb innocent women and children; he cheated in the Olympics; ... he shot down MH17"

Is it demonization or what? Blanket statements, no historical context, personal attribution of events to a single person, and of course the inevitable women and children...

Other quotations:

- “in the US there is no investigation into how to stop future meddling with the elections” (huh?)
- “there is no consequence to the Russians’ use of Facebook or Twitter” (what?)
