What surprises me about the British media is how repetitive they get about catchy words. I already remarked here about tsar — there was a moment when various papers put that word in their headlines. There was also a moment when they all talked about throwing someone under the bus. This time they all repeat the word sleaze — so frequently, so laboriously, so tirelessly that I couldn't help marveling at how similar it is, both in sound and in imagery, to the Russian слизь.
