She makes sense to me; but what a smarter journalist could have asked her is whether she isn't being too binary in her assessment. Vaccines do not prevent transmission, she says; which is true; but do they decrease the rate of transmission at all? If yes, then is this reduction sufficient to recommend vaccine mandates (or, which would be much more interesting, what would be the thought process that goes into deciding of whether to vaccinate a given population)?
