Basecamp has recently announced changes to its office policy, which included the following:


I don't know if it's a harbinger of a changing zeitgeist, of companies coming round to publicly acknowledge that they are places for work and for making money, rather than for political activism and posturing. In terms of public relations, I don't know whether Basecamp has made any political statements before, but it would be interesting to see whether it will refrain from doing so in the future.
