What point is he making? What do these numbers mean? Are these the number of times that posts by a given media account were cumulatively shown to FB users? Are these the number of "impressions" — posts/ads that pop up, for no reason at all, in people's feeds (if so, what's the evidence that people don't just scroll past these posts, like I used to scroll past most of the ads/posts by The New Yorker)? Or is it the number of posts that people actually read? If the latter, how can he be sure that trash is not what people are interested in? So many holes here...
