Georgia Tech has a course on designing a toy operating system in Rust.

By the look at its description and assignments, must be heaps of fun. I am sad I have neither sufficient background knowledge or available time to make use of it. And I've been shamefully avoiding Rust so far, although I keep hearing praises for it.
