A textbook example of a logical fallacy in political discourse (of a type that I thought even schoolchildren are expected to recognize and avoid):



Thesis: the majority of terrorist attacks has been carried out by Muslim men. Therefore, security measures should focus on Muslim men.
Rebuttal (right column, penultimate paragraph): "he’s effectively saying... if they look like a Muslim then they must be a terrorist"

No. That’s not what he is saying at all.
