I am watching recordings from this year’s ReactConf, which happened this week, and am disappointed by how boring the talks are and how mechanical the speakers (those who read their talks, and there are more than one such). Equipment is misbehaving, and the MC is as lame and embarrassing as an entertainer at a kids party. I can’t imagine who the target audience for the keynote on day 1 was intended to be. No groundbreaking announcements, nothing to gape and marvel at; barely anyone to be entertained by; it’s all so hollow...

Ok, Tejas Kumar is the first alive speaker there who isn't horrible.
Sophie Alpert’s talk is also good. Shocked to learn she left Facebook.
