Learnt from Murray’s book of an article in The New York Times by a geneticist on the topic of the genetic basis of race. Murray quoted it as an example of a text for which the author was subsequently punished by the press; but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it is still possible (or at least was, a year ago) to publicly discuss whether the concept of race has any biological meaning and to defend the position that it does.
