There is a long thread on Hacker News about how Cloudflare (web infrastructure provider, for CDN, DDoS protection and other things that help to ensure a good uptime) ended their service for 8chan in the wake of the recent shootings.

I can sympathize with companies that are legally obliged to curtail service to certain clients (such as Github in case of Crimeans or Iranians), because in these circumstances it’s the government that is deserving of disdain. But I am disgusted by companies that take it upon themselves to be moral judges of their clients. As well as by the public that cannot tolerate enclaves of unconventional and — possibly — deeply regressive thinking.
