A reference (via Facebook) to Patriarch Kirill offering his opinion on Big Bang reminded me of the point James Lindsay made in his Everybody is Wrong about God, where he declared, rather boldly, that theism has lost the war of ideas, "has lost the bid for intellectual credibility." And of the debate on cosmology between William Lane Craig and Sean Carroll that Lindsay warmly recommended as an example of post-theistic discourse, in which theistic arguments are dismissed as irrelevant.

And Craig, although dwarfed by Carroll, is incomparably superior to our Orthodox metaphysicists, such as Alexei Osipov or the Patriarch.
