Curiously, shockingly, it looks like the BBC is allowing a number of their programs, e.g. certain documentaries to be watched from other countries (such as Russia), but not from within the UK. That’s a shocker, because normally I would expect the restrictions should go the other way (like the Comedy Central, once accessible from outside the US — and that’s how I got acquainted with The Daily Show — then closed their content to the rest of the world).

In that respect, I cannot praise RT enough: their content may be shit, but their openness and accessibility are exemplary.
