Accidentally, found out that the in-browser search in Chrome/Chromium (the little search bar that pops up when calling the Find command) treats the Russian letters е and ё as identical (and will find the word ёлка if the user types елка; or will find елка if the user types ёлка). In contrast, Firefox, say, treats them as two different letters.
