This here lady looks pretty stoked about internationalization (in general, and using React in particular):

I, on the other hand, despise it. By the way, the react-intl library she is referencing in the talk was developed by Yahoo and seems to be dying at the moment due to lack of maintainers, so it will probably need to be forked by someone at some point. In our app, we migrated from react-intl to js-lingui, which has its own set of ugly quirks, and that felt like a stupid waste of time and effort. And only yesterday I realized that static types exported by js-lingui was confusing the hell out of our type checker making it miss type errors. Damn this stupidity.
