For a long time, the go-to talk explaining the JavaScript runtime’s event loop was "What the heck is the event loop anyway?". After watching Jake Archibald’s talk at JSConf.Asia 2018, I feel it may very well claim the crown.

no kidding! By the end, when he was describing the difference in the order of execution between "tasks" (setTimeouts), requestAnimationFrames, and "microtasks" (promises), I was like "how can anyone keep track of all this? it's insane!"

exactly! and the difference between the user click and js click... can all those automated scripted tests be relied on?
